Historically, paste papers were produced by bookbinders between the 16th and 18th centuries; the papers were used for book covers and endpapers found at the front and the rear of books.
Participants will learn how to make paste, add colourants, and use a range of tools to produce patterns on different types of paper. The emphasis will be on flexible papers that can be used for various book projects and cards.
No prior experience required.
Materials fee $5 per person to be paid to the tutor on the day.
