Join me for an engaging artist talk titled “Surrender.” I’m Margaret Manchee, a visual artist specializing in printmaking, artist books, paper sculpture, and painting. I combine a career in accounting with a fine art practice. Since graduating with a Fine Art degree from the University of Melbourne – Victorian College of the Arts in 2008, I have been teaching at Firestation Print Studio in Melbourne. My work has been featured in four solo shows, several group exhibitions, international exchange projects, and is included in private and museum collections, including the NGV and the NGA.
In this talk, I’ll take you on a journey through my artistic evolution, focusing on the transformative power of working with paper. From my early inspirations and experimental beginnings to exhibitions and innovative techniques, you’ll discover how paper has become an integral part of my creative process. Whether you’re an artist or an art enthusiast, come ready to explore the beauty and versatility of paper in contemporary art.
Victoria Papermakers is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.
