New member @jenniferbs_world says part of her practice is making miniature paper sculptures, mostly flowers and plants, using recycled materials and found objects - in this case a tiny cardboard box found amongst her mother's things - and incorporating her own photography. Dirty dyeing, anyone? Lyn Nicholls @lynprintmaker has been having witchy fun eco printing onto watercolour paper, using plants from her garden in a 'dirty' dye pot with bark, rusty nails, bits of old iron from the shed, and a good slug of white vinegar. These plants worked best for her: leaves of eucalyptus, blackberry, strawberry, geranium, silky oak, and tibouchina; flowers of dandelion, daisy, and cape weed. Another intriguing use of paper: Wrinkles" (29" x 28" x 8") mulberry paper & wire, by @amygenserstudio. Amy (based in West Hartford CT, USA) uses paper as pigment, and constructs her pieces by layering, cutting, rolling, and combining paper. She is fascinated by the flow of water, and takes inspiration from organic forms in the natural world.
