Folded Artist Books are a wonderful way to present your work in a sculptural form, transforming how you and the view see your work. In this workshop you will learn about some simple folded book forms that can be used to hero your artwork or your handmade paper.
We will construct a Reverse piano hinge book with some fun additions. This hard cover book above has a concertina base and is particularly useful if you wish to swap pages around or work on them out of the book.
Although all base materials will be provided, you will need to bring along plenty of paper that you would like to feature in your books. Leftovers, oddments and experiments are all perfect to use. By the end of the day you will take home at least one book and the knowledge and practical experience to confidently approach future bookmaking.
For members of Papermakers of Victoria, with our exhibition coming up later in the year, it is a great way to investigate book forms to exhibit your handmade paper.

Materials Fee $10 to be paid on the day (cash)
Cancellation policy: If a participant withdraws their workshop registration within two weeks of the starting date of the workshop, there will be no refund unless a replacement can be found.
