This workshop involves making a folded box and several small books.
Working small is a great way to begin. The small books we make on this day will fit into the fold out box we construct from our map. The slip-on lid will hold our box together when our project is complete.
The day can be spent constructing a model from a commercial map or it could be a personal journey as you make your own map.
Materials fee: $10 to be paid to tutor on the day. Barb will provide you with adhesive paper, handmade and commercial papers, maps and book cloth. A materials list detailing what you should bring will be provided to participants.
Barb Adams is an experienced papermaker, artist, bookbinder and educator. She recently presented an artist talk to Papermakers of Victoria, delighting us with some of the many beautiful artists books that she has made over the years.
