About us

Formed in January 1989 by people whose common bond was a love and understanding of paper as a medium in its own right.

Papermakers of Victoria’s purpose is to:

-Provide mutual support for hand paper makers and paper artists through the exchange of ideas and information
-Promote paper arts and crafts to a wider audience by a regular program of exhibitions and workshops
-Encourage appreciation of the processes involved in the production of quality handmade paper from diverse fibres
-Foster ongoing exploration and discussion of the possibilities of paper across the arts.

Meetings and Groups:
Papermakers of Victoria holds General Meetings at Box Hill Community Arts Centre (also accessible via zoom) six times a year with a mix of speakers, activities and show and tell.

There are also two other groups, Papermates and Yabbers, available for members to join where they will meet for hands on activities each month.
